Matchmaker, Matchmaker, Make Me a Match…

Last week, I spotted a question that my friend Gillian Bronte Adams asked on her blog. I liked it so much, I reposted it here. Not only that, but it made me want to ask a question of my own.

In honor of Valentine’s Day yesterday, I ask the following question:

Think of all the stories you’ve read or seen or whatever, and then create a cross-story set-up. So two DC superheroes (like Superman and Wonder Woman) are out, but a DC/Marvel crossover? That’s in the realm of possibility.

I hate to admit it, but I’m having a hard time thinking of who I would set up as the “perfect couple.” I mean, there are some interesting thematic possibilities (sending Katniss Everdeen on a date with Hawkeye from the Avengers to a shooting range). There are also interesting “it’ll be like watching a train wreck” matches (who wants tickets to see Sauron and the White Witch have dinner?). But I’m drawing a blank as to who I would want to set up for an actual, they might actually make it, sort of date.

How about you?

Oh, and feel free to share this question on your own blog. Even go ahead and snag the picture if you want to. Just please be sure to link back to here if you do.

  1. Oh wow. This is a tough one. I’d consider Kaladin (The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson) and Eowyn … if Faramir didn’t exist. Because Eowyn and Faramir are just perfect for one another.
