Wordcount Wednesday

Well, now, this is more like it.

The Kynetic Novella

First things first: I’ve finished the first draft of the Kynetic novella. I don’t have a title for it still and it definitely needs some editing. But the first draft is in the can, so to speak, and weighs in at 25,790 words. That’s a little longer than I anticipated. Okay, make that a lot longer. But I’m pretty satisfied with the way things turned out. I’m not sure when this will release. It kind of depends on a variety of different things.

The R-Rated Bible

So what am I working on next? Well, I pulled out “The R-Rated Bible” and started adding to that. As of right now, I’ve written 17,332 words total, meaning that in the last few days, I’ve added 4,409 words, which amounts to about a chapter and a half. Not too shabby. I’m planning on working on this for as long as I can, although I’m a little worried about this one. I’m still at around the half-way point in terms of material, but from what I understand, most non-fiction books are around 50,000 words long, give or take. I’m going to come in well under that goal. I’ve come up with two additional chapters, one that might be a little lengthy, but we’ll see.

I may have to put this one back up on the shelf, though, because…

Failstate: Nemesis

…I’ll soon be working on the first edit for the third and final (for now) Failstate book.

This one has gone through a lot of changes in terms of titles. You may have seen me refer to this one as “Failstate: Reflections” or “Failstate: Refractions” in the past. This time, though, the name is locked in. Sometime later this year, you’ll be able to see what Failstate is up against next.

In the meantime, though, we’re working on cover art and the first edit.

So there we go. Tune in next week for more reports, folks. Same website, same day of the week.

That didn’t flow as well as I wanted.
