I had such high hopes and really, I’m not off by much.
See, here’s the thing. My current writing project can be divided up into five parts (I’m actually calling them “acts” in the book itself). For some reason, Acts 2 and 3 took a really long time, but Act 4, for whatever reason, has been just zipping by in terms of writing. I thought for sure that I would make it all the way through the end of Act 4 by today.
Yeah, that didn’t happen, and it’s all Donald Trump’s fault.
Okay, I’m not being all that serious, but I was up late last night watching the election results, and this morning, I wound up writing an essay about the election results on my personal Facebook profile. I might share it on here later this week, I don’t know. But as a result of those two factors, I didn’t get much writing done today.
So over the past week, I’ve written 7,694 additional words, bringing my grand total to 110,258 words. I’m still hopeful that I’ll be able to finish this act and even land this thing by the end of this month. I’m relatively confident that can happen. We’ll just have to see.
