Yes, yes, yes, I know. I’m about nine hours late on this one. I have a variety of excuses as to why:
- It’s Lent. We Lutherans have a tradition of special worship services on Wednesday nights during Lent. Let me tell you, there’s nothing more exhausting than leading worship and preaching, especially for an introvert like me. That’s not a complaint. I love what I do. But it kind of leaves me wiped out after the service is over.
- I was getting caught up on some TV shows. Yes, I know, priorities, right? But I wanted to see what happened on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. since I’m planning on seeing the new Captain America movie tomorrow sometime. And I also had to see what was going on with Arrow. Are you watching that second one? If not, why not? It’s a great show!
- I was finishing the first book in Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy. I only recently discovered Sanderson’s work, so I’m kind of playing catch-up. I downloaded the whole trilogy onto my Kindle and, last night, I realized that I was close to hitting the end of the first book, so I decided to keep reading until I was completely done. So yeah, turned out to be a late night last night.
In spite of all of those excuses, I do have progress to report! This past week, I’ve been focused on writing The R-Rated Bible and I think I’ve done pretty good. The manuscript currently sits at 20,201 words, which means that I added…only 2,869 words.
Huh. I thought it would be more than that.
Oh well. Maybe I made “mental progress” on it more than actual progress. And I still like the way it’s turning out. Once I get the current chapter I’m working on finished, I’ll have only about three more before the current draft is done.
So there we go, folks. Sorry about the delay in the report. We’ll see how the next week goes.
