So, yeah, it’s been a while since I’ve posted a Wordcount Wednesday report. So here’s what’s been going on:
Failstate: Nemesis
I’ve been working on the official edit for the third Failstate book, Failstate: Nemesis. Right now, we’re about two-thirds to three-quarters of the way through the manuscript. It’s been fun going through it again, and I can’t wait for everyone to read it.
Kynetic: On Target
I finally have a name for the Kynetic mini-adventure (namely Kynetic: On Target)! And cover art! And a release date. On July 1st, you’ll be able to see what Kynetic has been up to since we last saw her in Failstate: Legends. I was able to compile the ebook this afternoon and it turned out great.
A New Project
But it’s not just Failstate that’s been running around in my imagination. I’ve also started a new writing project. I don’t have a title for it (big shock, I know!), but for now, I’m calling it the Generation Ship Story, or GenShip for short. I’ve only just gotten started on the first draft, but it’s going well so far. The plot and characters are starting to gel and I’m really having fun with it.
So let’s establish the baseline. As of right now, GenShip is at 6,076 words. Here’s hoping I can keep that number going up over the next few weeks.
