Well, I had good intentions.
I really do want to try to pound out a lot of words each week, but in this case, I think I’m proceeding cautiously to get the lay of the land. I really do like what I’m seeing. I’m having fun. I’m just doing it slowly.
As of right now, the Generation Ship story is at 9,248 words, meaning I only added 3,172 words since last week.
I could make a lot more excuses as to why that number is so low. Car troubles (a minivan that is close to dying), a flooded basement (worst we’ve ever had), blah blah blah. Next week, I’ll have more.
That’s why I do these posts. I know I’m probably the only one who cares about this, but by having to publicly report on my progress each week, it motivates me not to take it easy and keep writing.
See you all in a week.
Three thousand words is a short story. I would feel good about that level of productivity in a week, but of course it’s all relative.
Good luck with the generation ship. Those are very cool. 🙂
